Project 02
SuSim Motion Core
The heart of the rig: a central controller with modular extensions for the individual drives.
Motion Core / Planned features
One control centre for your rig.
- Motor modules controlled simultaneously
- Expansion target: up to10
- Central control
- Arduino UNOR4
- Operating status at a glance
- Large status displayOLED
- Control link to the rig
- One cableRJ45
Controlling up to ten motor modules simultaneously over CAN is an expansion target, not a confirmed capacity. Firmware and bus traffic must be designed for this and tested on the hardware. RJ45 refers to the control link, not the motors’ power supply.
The control box, inside and out
The front combines the display with buttons labelled Start/Stop, Reset and Parking. The transparent CAD view shows the arrangement of the circuit board, display and controls inside the housing. Select a view to enlarge it.
The idea
Motion Core brings central control together and connects it to individual expansion modules. Clear separation of the components keeps the build organised, serviceable and ready for further functionality.
Current status
Prototype. The control box and its modules are being developed, tested and documented step by step.
For DIY builders
The technical structure should avoid unnecessary complexity. The aim is an understandable build for anyone who wants to understand, adapt and extend their motion rig.
